EVOLUTION HARDWAX OIL
Developed in Germany using state-of-the-art technology, Evolution Hardwax Oil is the latest hardwax oil available on the market. It is micro-porous (meaning it allows the timber to breath by integrating with it rather than creating a skin – which prevents cracking) and moisture-regulating. The oil is made from natural, sustainable raw materials (such as beeswax, carnauba wax and jojoba oil) and is non-toxic (food and toy safe). It can be applied with or without the special 2K Booster which is usually only added for extra durability in high-traffic areas (i.e., busy shops and restaurants). Even without the booster, Evolution Hardwax Oils are hard-wearing and low maintenance, usually lasting 5-7 years before a replenishing recoat is required.
Timber Protection: The treated areas are highly water repellent and resistant to conventional foods and household chemicals.
Coverage rate: Evolution has extremely high coverage rates – up to 30m²/L depending on application technique.
Safe: Oxidative drying, cobalt free, free of oximes.
Areas of use: All high traffic interior surfaces, such as timber floors, cork, OSB boards, glued timber, countertops, and furniture. Even in damp areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Suitable for kindergartens, schools, nursing homes, etc.
Evolution Hardwax Oils provide a durable clear hardwax finish that is easily maintained is water repellent, dirt resistant and will not discolour, crack, flake or peel. It allows timber to breathe and move seasonally and enhances natural grain and timber colour.
The Hardwax Oil range is available in the following sizes: 125ml (sample), 500ml, 1L, 2L, 4L & 10L
Evolution Hardwax Oils can be applied with or without the special 2K Booster. For smaller surfaces such as furniture, the Booster isn’t necessary. We only really recommend using the Booster for commercial use, i.e., in very high-traffic areas because it does increase hardness and durability. However, in most cases the Booster is not necessary because even without it, Evolution Hardwax Oils are extremely hard-wearing and long-lasting.
The 2K Booster is a cross linker that improves the chemical and physical resistance and reduces the drying time and pot life. It is solvent-free, weatherproof, with low viscosity and is suitable for all sheen levels of Evolution Hardwax Oil. It is intended mainly for professional use and anyone
Evolution Raw Stains
If you would like to keep your timber flooring/furniture/products as close to their natural raw colour as possible, then our Raw Stains are what you need. These stains give the timber a freshly sanded look that lasts by neutralizing the darkening effect of the Hardwax oil that is applied afterwards.
Our Raw Stains are available in 3 different tones – Natural, Light and Dark. We do advise doing a test sample first as different timber species may give a different finish.
This product is ideal for untreated wood floors and furniture surfaces. Also suitable for raw or leached softwoods, all types of hardwood (indoors), OSB boards and exotic woods.
Once you have applied the timber stain, allow to dry overnight, then apply 2 coats of Evolution Hardwax Oil (with a sheen of your choice).
The Evolution Raw Stain range is available in the following sizes: 125ml (sample), 500ml, 1L & 2L
Evolution Colours
Timber Colours: The colours are made in Germany with colourfast natural pigments, the base of our colours is Evolution Hardwax Oil itself, so it is possible to thin them with uncoloured Evolution Hardwax oil if desired. The colours will appear different on various species of timber, always do a sample test first.
Areas of use: All high traffic interior surfaces, such as timber floors, cork, OSB boards, glued timber, countertops, and furniture. Even in damp areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Suitable for kindergartens, schools, nursing homes, etc. All colours are intermixable. Safe: Oxidative drying, cobalt free, free of oximes.
Colours will vary depending on type of timber. Please do sample board first.
The Evolution Colour range is available in the following sizes: 125ml (sample), 500ml, 1L & 2L
